JA BizTown combines in-class learning with a day-long visit to an interactive, simulated town. Educators effectively integrate financial literacy and work and career readiness into the school classroom followed by a popular, hands-on learning experience allowing 4-6 grade students to operate banks, manage restaurants, use debit cards, write checks, and vote for mayor. Students can connect the dots between what they learn in school and the real world.

Teacher comments: “Grateful for the opportunity to learn outside the classroom.” “Everyone is working so hard and having fun.” “Great way to show students a real-life application of their school learning.” “My students LOVE this field trip. They have a great time, but also have an opportunity to put their skills to use. They come away with valuable information and amazing memories.:

Student comments: “I had so much fun at my job.” “I learned that you 100% need teamwork.” I learned so much like how to write a check and deposit ticket and record what you buy.” “You taught me how to take out a loan and pay my bills.” “I had a wonderful time.” “JA BizTown was such a good experience. It was so amazing. I love how they have real companies and had real products to buy. It was like being a real adult.”
