We deliver three outstanding on-site programs—JA BizTown, JA Finance Park, and JA Trades—that bring learning to life for students and schools across the community.
Primary Responsibilities:
Junior Achievement is seeking a Part-Time Program Assistant who is passionate about education and youth development. In this role, you’ll support the daily operations of our experiential learning programs and help create meaningful, hands-on learning experiences for students. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a rewarding, flexible weekday position that makes a real impact.
- Support daily operations of JA BizTown, JA Finance Park, and JA Trades programs
- Prepare materials, set up workstations, and reset learning spaces between sessions
- Provide friendly, helpful support to educators, students, and volunteers
- Assist students during simulations to ensure smooth flow and positive engagement
- Help coordinate and guide volunteers throughout the day
- Maintain clean, organized, and functional program areas
- Track attendance and assist with documentation and feedback collection
- Follow organizational guidelines and comply with safety and school policies
- Represent Junior Achievement with professionalism and enthusiasm
Must be available M-F, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm. (Times and dates vary according to school schedules.) JA looks for individuals who provide quality customer service, work in a team environment, are flexible, attentive to details, follows directions, can multitask, problem-solve and comfortable working with students and adults.
Qualifications (required)
- High school diploma required; college coursework in education or youth services preferred
- Experience working with youth (schools, camps, nonprofits, customer-facing roles) strongly valued
- Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills
- Flexible and comfortable adapting to different roles as needed
- Organized, dependable, and able to follow directions
- Reliable transportation and consistent punctuality
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, structured environment with students and adults
Qualifications (desired)
- Energetic, approachable, and enjoys engaging with kids and adults
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to creating a positive learning environment
